Wood Burning Stoves

A wood burning stove adds a charming and characterful feature to any room of the house. Wood burning stoves continue to be very much in demand, not least because they offer a carbon neutral, highly efficient way of heating your home, and when used property will save on heating bills.

A Wide Choice

These days you are spoilt for choice when it comes to selecting the right stove. Models include a variety of deigns from standard ‘black box’ to contemporary free standing chic and cassette ‘hole in the wall’ styles. They also come in different colours and sizes which means you are sure to find the stove for you. And don't forget that most areas of Greater Manchester are smoke controlled so you many need advice on which stoves you should buy and which fuel is authorized.

TIP: If you're not sure which stove to buy, our team can offer advice on the correct stove per your requirements, ensuring the right heat output for your room, which means no over/under firing of the stove.

The Heat Installer's One Stop Shop

Whether you've purchased your own stove or bought one from us, rest assured you can trust our expert team to install your stove safely and efficiently.

We can open up an existing chimney breast or construct a custom ‘twin-wall’ flue system in a room with no chimney such as new build properties, extensions or conservatories.

Thanks to our one stop shop skill set you can rely on our team to do ALL the necessary work to install your stove – this includes plastering, brickwork and skirting – which mean you don’t have to worry about finding separate tradesmen.

Naturally, all our installers are fully qualified HETAS approved installation engineers, ensuring your appliance complies with the relevant Building Regulations and Standards and notifying the relevant Greater Manchester council that the work has been done in a safe and compliant manner. Our team are fully insured to work in your property. We also provide an exclusive 5 year guarantee on our workmanship (subject to the annual service of your stove).

The Flue Liner

While there is no legal requirement that a chimney should be lined, we will always recommend a flue lining because...

  1. It is often a specification advised by the manufacturer in their installation instructions,
  2. It prevents the leakage of smoke and fumes,
  3. It reduces tar or condensates seeping through the chimney which will eventually cause staining on both the interior and exterior of the property,
  4. It will ensure the flue draws properly,
  5. It ensures your fire's optimum efficiency.

The flue liner will have up to a 30 year guarantee reflecting the high-quality products used by The Heat Installer team and because we buy in bulk we can pass on these savings to our customers.

The finishing touch

The Heat Installer team can also provide a range of complementary stove accessories to complete the installation of your new stove. These include hearths, chambers, beams and fireplace surrounds in custom sizes. Just ask to see our full range.

After Care

The Heat Installers provide a cost effective annual service of your stove which will include, stripping, inspecting and cleaning the appliance. An annual service will ensure your stove is operating to its full capacity and will highlight any issues before they became an expensive problem.

We can provide a competitively priced chimney sweep service – important to prevent the build up of soot and creosote and to check for other obstructions which can cause blockages.

TIP: By law, you must fit a carbon monoxide detector in the same room as any appliance
